IZUMI MARU No.6 ★ 第六いづみ丸 (PS auto-adjusted and cropped)

is a brand new LPG Tanker (delivered June 2024) and sailed thru the Kanmon Straits on January 6, 2025. It was a cold winter day and the weather and air quality was less then optimal for photography. Ship Freakazoid is posting three images taken from the same photograph. One is cropped and auto-adjusted, another is auto-adjusted only, and the third is the original image taken with an Olympus E-520 DSLR with Zuiko 150mm lens with no filter. Video footage was taken with a JVC Everio GZ-E265-N video camera with 54x Konica Minolta lens mounted on a Slik tripod.

THERMOPYLAE is a vehicles carrier (RoRo ship) and was recently photographed passing thru the Kanmon Straits between Shimonoseki City and Kitakyushu City, Japan. Thermopylae is a large vessel, and while not as long as some others, is quite tall. It dwarfed the buildings and other ships and boats it passed on the afternoon of April 2, 2022. A SUWA - Brand New Container Ship in the Kanmon Strait

The brand spanking new container ship A SUWA (Flag of Hong Kong) sailed thru the Kanmon Straits of Japan on a lovely Japanese autumn day (November 11, 2024) and was filmed with an antique JVC Everio video camera (Konica Minolta 54x lens) by a sissy sicko with no credentials known as Ship Freakazoid. The Singapore flagged container ship NYK FUTAGO passed thru the Kanmon Straits of Japan on a lovely but hot (36C-97F) mid-September afternoon. The straits were calm. The air was heavy. The sunset was lovely. NYK Futago was glorious.
