was a busy body in the Kanmon Straits on November 11th 2024. This state of the art, high speed, high precision survey ship measures water depth for the dredging and improving of the Kanmon Waterway. Kaien (海燕) helps ships safely pass thru the straits by measuring the water's depth. This aluminum catamaran is able to travel and conduct surveys quickly due to its lightweight construction and excellent stability.
