This Chinese container ship was captured on digital film as it passed thru the Kanmon Straits of Japan on the morning of May 8, 2024. Please do not blame the ship for the misbehavior of the CCP. THERMOPYLAE is a vehicles carrier (RoRo ship) and was recently photographed passing thru the Kanmon Straits between Shimonoseki City and Kitakyushu City, Japan. Thermopylae is a large vessel, and while not as long as some others, is quite tall. It dwarfed the buildings and other ships and boats it passed on the afternoon of April 2, 2022. The Singapore flagged container ship NYK FUTAGO passed thru the Kanmon Straits of Japan on a lovely but hot (36C-97F) mid-September afternoon. The straits were calm. The air was heavy. The sunset was lovely. NYK Futago was glorious.
