Jeju based DK IMAN (109 m) looks tiny next to CMA CGM CHOPIN (277 m)

On January 9th 2024 AD the Korean general cargo DK IMAN (not DKNY!!!) passed thru the Kanmon Strait between Shimonoseki and Moji Kitakyushu on its way to Fukuyama Japan from Pyeongtaek Korea. The Jeju based DK IMAN (109 m) looks tiny next to CMA CGM CHOPIN (277 m). Ship Freakazoid used an Olympus E520 DSLR with Zuiko 40-150mm lens to capture this vessel on digital "film" for fellow ship freaks to enjoy.  DK IMAN's home port is apparently Jeju Korea.  Never been, but would love to visit as it is supposed to be lovely.

THERMOPYLAE vehicles carrier RoRo ship passing thru Kanmon Straits Japan

THERMOPYLAE is a vehicles carrier (RoRo ship) and was recently photographed passing thru the Kanmon Straits between Shimonoseki City and Kitakyushu City, Japan. Thermopylae is a large vessel, and while not as long as some others,  is quite tall. It dwarfed the buildings and other ships and boats it passed on the afternoon of April 2, 2022. Photographed by Ship Freakazoid using an Olympus e520 DSLR with a 150mm Zuiko lens. Enjoy. A SUWA - Brand New Container Ship in the Kanmon Strait

The brand spanking new container ship A SUWA (Flag of Hong Kong) sailed thru the Kanmon Straits of Japan on a lovely Japanese autumn day (November 11, 2024) and was filmed with an antique JVC Everio video camera (Konica Minolta 54x lens) by a sissy sicko with no credentials known as Ship Freakazoid. More footage from ship spotting the vessels passing by Kitakyushu and Shimonoseki Japan can be seen on this YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@ShipFreakazoid Like, subscribe, and comment should you so please... A SUWA It was nice to see such a new and colorful container ship pass by the glorious coastline of Garden Paradise Kitakyushu. NYK FUTAGO container ship in Kanmon Straits at sunset

The Singapore flagged container ship NYK FUTAGO passed thru the Kanmon Straits of Japan on a lovely but hot (36C-97F) mid-September afternoon. The straits were calm.  The air was heavy. The sunset was lovely. NYK Futago was glorious.  NOTE:   NO filters used & ZERO editing done (Photoshop etc.)  Silhouette of container ship sailing at sunset - NYK FUTAGO This 267 meter long cargo ship was captured by Ship Freakazoid as it sailed through the Kanmon Strait between the Garden Paradise Kitakyushu and Shimonoseki at sunset on September 17, 2024.  As per usual, SF used his trusty secondhand Olympus E-520 DSLR camera equipped with a Zuiko 150mm lens to photograph this lovely vessel.  Settings in the above photo were:  f/11 , ISO 100 , 1/1600 sec. NYK Futago passes by historic Ganryujima and phallic Kaikyo Yume Tower Japanese cities are notorious for having hideous towers in lovely places.
