KAZASHI is a 15 ton Fukuoka Prefectural Police patrol boat. While the lazy overpaid and under-worked Kitakyushu Police claim they are patrolling the Kanmon Strait, most citizens think they are just going on leisure cruises thru the straits and wasting taxpayer money. Ship Feakazoid is one such person. Kazashi was photographed on August 18, 2023 at 14:30, probably after the po-po had finished a long lunch break and had a nap.

THERMOPYLAE is a vehicles carrier (RoRo ship) and was recently photographed passing thru the Kanmon Straits between Shimonoseki City and Kitakyushu City, Japan. Thermopylae is a large vessel, and while not as long as some others, is quite tall. It dwarfed the buildings and other ships and boats it passed on the afternoon of April 2, 2022. The brand spanking new container ship A SUWA (Flag of Hong Kong) sailed thru the Kanmon Straits of Japan on a lovely Japanese autumn day (November 11, 2024) and was filmed with an antique JVC Everio video camera (Konica Minolta 54x lens) by a sissy sicko with no credentials known as Ship Freakazoid. The Singapore flagged container ship NYK FUTAGO passed thru the Kanmon Straits of Japan on a lovely but hot (36C-97F) mid-September afternoon. The straits were calm. The air was heavy. The sunset was lovely. NYK Futago was glorious.
